How We Started
In 1958 we opened our first office as Bayswater Car Hire Perth. In 1988 we opened Bayswater Car Hire Sydney. For 50 years we have maintained our low cost (...no birds) formula to provide our clients cheap, but reliable, new hire cars.(See our FAQ page for more information on the meaning of 'no birds')
Ours is an all-Australian, family business and has been since the beginning. Bayswater Car Rental is owned and managed by two generations of the same family.
How We Do Business
We rent new cars at about half the rate of renting at the Airport. We have a fleet of around 2,500 new Toyota Corollas available from 5 offices in Sydney and Perth.Our offices are conveniently located but are set up to keep costs low so we can pass the savings on to you.
Our systems are as simple as possible. We provide reliable cars that are good for our customers and, like so many other things we do, help to keep our costs low. We buy large numbers of Toyotas every year to achieve further savings and maintain a fleet of reliable, new hire cars.

Take a bus up William Street to the bus stop at or door. All the bus drivers know the Bayswater Car Rental stop - 100m before the big, famous "Coca Cola" sign.
From Kings Cross Train Station:
Walk 100m right on Darlinghurst Road, then 100m right on William Street.

Our Bayswater office is 3km from Perth Airport. To get to this Office will normally take you about 10 minutes and cost $15 by taxi, which is less than the money you are likely to save in the first day of your car hire.

Our City Office is about 700m East of the centre of Perth. Walk along St Georges Terrace (which changes its name to Adelaide Terrace) to our door. Many buses run along Adelaide Terrace and all the bus drivers know the Bayswater Car Rental stop. It is the ideal location for Perth residents working in the city, or travelers staying in any of the city hotels.
