The setting is the English Channel Islands, June 4, 1944. Two NZ commandos have been sent to raid German gun emplacements, thereby hoping to distract German forces away from Normandy. However they discover a Nazi occult plot to unleash demonic forces against the allies and a released demon proves to have a hunger for flesh so dismembered corpses abound. What ensues is a test of bravery, belief and a battle between good and evil. Frankly, not a great deal new here, but fairly well done for this genre and the usual excellent special effects by WETA. Filmed around Wellington, with the Wright's Hill WWII Fortress in Karori standing in for the story's German emplacement. NOTE: It is scheduled to have its New Zealand general theatrical release starting 22 September 2011.
